Facebook vs. MySpace

By ilovedorks

How do you choose?  For the last couple of  years I have been solely a MySpace user.  Just recently I joined Facebook and here are my thoughts about the differences.

MySpace runs a lot slower in my opinion, and is less interactive than Facebook.  MySpace lets you post picture comments on other people’s pages.  Facebook only lets  you write text on other people’s “walls.”  Facebook is a lot easier to use too, once you get the hang of it.  Facebook also has a mobile application where you can upload your mobile photos directly from your phone to your profile page, and allows you to change your status anywhere, anytime.  Facebook suggests potential friends for you, three at a time.  Possible friends that you may know that are friends with your current friends, and people that went to your high school or college.  I think that Facebook is more about what you are doing this minute, and MySpace is about being able to customize yourself.  MySpace allows you to customize your whole profile page.  You can put in photos, video’s and personalize your wallpaper.  I think MySpace is great if you want to get the word out about something, or promote something.  If you go to someone’s profile page on facebook, you see the same format as your profile page and are not able to customize it.

Overall, I personally prefer Facebook because it is a lot easier to use, is more interactive and you don’t have to deal with all the customization and competition, to make your page better than someone else’s.
